To create a Verisart Certified NFT you must include the certificate URL in the NFT creation description when you mint it.
To do this you must complete the following 3 steps:
Step 1: Create a certificate for a digital work before minting it
Select "digital" as the object type.
Fill in the creation details and add any additional files (for more information on creating a certificate click here)
You must leave the edition section blank, certificates for editions cannot be edited so this process will only work for unique works.
Save your certificate

Step 2: Mint your NFT and add the certificate URL to the creation description
Mint the NFT on an NFT platform we support (Foundation, Known Origin, Makersplace, Nifty Gateway, OpenSea, Rarible and SuperRare).
Important: Signal to collectors your NFT is Verisart Certified by including your certificate link in the creation description:
Verisart Certified: [Your unique certificate URL]
Here's an example of a Verisart Certified NFT.

Step 3: Link your wallet & add on-chain information to your digital certificate
After your NFT has been minted update the certificate to include the on-chain information. You need to do this before you set the work for auction.*
If you haven't already, link your wallet to your Verisart account.
Find the certificate you want to edit and click on the pencil icon

Change the object type to 'NFT'

Enter the on-chain information for your NFT (to learn more about finding the on-chain information, click here)
- Minting platform, Contract Address, Token ID, Owner Address

Save your changes
Congratulations, you have created a certificate for your NFT!
Please note this process only works for unique works. If you create a certificate for an edition, you will not be able to edit it due to the risk of editing one certificate and not others.
* You can only create a certificate for an NFT if you are the owner of the NFT and have linked your wallet to your Verisart account. Some platforms put the work in an escrow account owned by the platform during the auction. This means your work will not be in your wallet and you won't be able to create a certificate for the NFT.
