Thanks for installing our Shopify App!

You can now easily automate the creation of digital blockchain certificates. In this guide, we cover what you need to know to get started.

Table of contents

1. Install from the Shopify App Store

  • Go to your Store's Admin Panel

  • Choose the store where you'd like to install the Verisart App. If you have a test or development store, it's best to install and test the App there before installing it on your Production store.

  • Go to Apps > Explore Apps (this button may also say Add or Discover Apps) and install it from the Shopify App Store.

  • You can also go straight to the Shopify App Store and search for "Verisart"

  • Follow the install process and grant permissions to install the App

2. Set up your account

Once you've installed the Verisart App, you'll need to set up a new Verisart account or link your Store to an existing account before you can start creating certificates. Click 'Get started' to begin the process.

You're new to Verisart

Welcome! We'll set up an account for you automatically so you can get started right away.

You already have a Verisart account

Welcome back! Choose the "I already have a Verisart account" option.

You'll be redirected to Verisart.com and asked to log in. Your existing account will then be automatically linked to your Shopify Store.

❓ What if I forgot my password? Don't worry, just use the "Forgot your password" link on the log in screen to reset your password and try logging in again.

3. Add a creator (optional)

If the products you're selling have an identified creator or brand then you'll need to link them to your Store's account. This ensures that your certificates clearly show the maker's name. If you are selling products under a business name, you can skip this step.

  • Go to the Settings tab in the App

  • Scroll down, and click "Manage Creators"

  • You'll be redirected to Verisart.com where you can add your creator

If you're a business who represents creators, you'll need to be on our Business plan to represent multiple creators. You will need to get permission from creators through Verisart before creating NFTs on their behalf.

4. Set up products for certification

Next, go to the Verisart App and choose which products in your Store you'd like to offer certificates for.

  • Go to the Products tab

  • To create certificates for products, select a Collection or an individual product from the list

  • Then click 'Mark as certified'

  • You should now see a green 'Certified' tag next to the Collection or product's name

If you sell products under a business name without an identified creator or maker, you're all set.

Adding creators and additional certificate details

If your products have an identified creator, you'll need to assign their name to your products so it appears on the certificates.

  • Click on the product's title or select a product by ticking the box and click 'Edit Products'

  • This brings up the Object Details form. Under the 'Choose a product type', select 'Certificate of Authenticity

Add a creator

If your products have an identified creator or maker, you'll need to assign their name to your products so it will appear on the certificates.

Select a creator from the drop-down. If no creator appears, you'll first need to add one following the instructions in Step 3.

Add details to make your certificates more complete

The Verisart App creates basic certificates using the information you've already provided to Shopify: The product's title, image and description. We strongly recommend that you provide additional details to make your certificates more complete. This will give your customers full confidence in the accuracy and authenticity of the certificate and their purchase.

5. Add your branding to your customers' experience (optional)

The Verisart App allows you to customize your customers' experience with your own branding.
