An important benefit of NFTs is the ability for artists to receive royalties on secondary sale royalties.

With NFTs minted on Verisart, you can receive royalties from OpenSea, Rarible and other EIP-2981 standard compatible platforms.

Below is an overview of how royalties can be set for different platforms.

Verisart Contract

Royalties set to 10% and distributed monthly by Verisart

Royalties are set by you and need to be configured in OpenSea (see below for instructions)

Rarible

Set by you from the Verisart minting form and select the wallet you want to receive the royalties in.

  • The royalties are set at 10% and are payouts occur in bulk every month

Rarible & other EIP-2981 compatible platforms

  • Simply indicate the royalties percentage and the wallet address where you would want to receive them


Setting royalties for NFTs minted on Custom contracts

OpenSea

If you have deployed a custom contract, you NEED to configure your royalties on OpenSea to receive royalties from secondary sales that take place on the marketplace.

  1. Go to your Custom Contract on OpenSea (please note that OpenSea refers to contracts as collections)

Go to any NFT you have minted, click on the contract name at the top

To edit the custom contract, click on the pencil icon.

2. To set your royalties, adjust the percentage fee field (you can set a fee of up to 10%) and set your payout wallet address

3. Make sure to hit 'Submit to save your changes

Please note that royalties also apply to primary sales (sales by you).

Rarible & other EIP-2981 compatible platforms

  • Simply indicate the royalties percentage and the wallet address where you would want to receive them
