How to export your certificates

Download a full archive of the certificates you've issued or own, to keep or browse offline.

You can export every certificate on your Verisart account in one go: each work's certificate PDF, its images and documents, its full history and an index page you can open on your computer without an internet connection.

What's included

  • A certificate PDF for every work, all in one folder so you can print them together

  • All images and documents

  • Every version of each certificate

  • A CSV listing all your certificates

  • Signatures and blockchain timestamp proofs

  • An offline index page you can search by title or sticker serial

Request an export

  • Log in to Verisart and go to Settings → Account.

  • Scroll to Export your data and click Export data.

  • If some of your certificates were issued through a Shopify store, choose whether to Include certificates issued through Shopify stores. This option only appears if you have both kinds.

  • Check the number of certificates, then click Confirm export.

That's it. You can close the window. We'll email you when your export starts and again when it's ready to download. Exports are typically ready within 24 hours.

While it’s being prepared, the Export your data card shows that your export is in progress.

Download your export

When it's ready, we'll email you a link to your downloads page.

To open your export for smaller accounts with a single file:

  1. Download your zip folder which will be labelled verisart-export-date.

  2. Unzip folder and you will see the following folder structure:

    • certificates (all your certificates labelled buy artist name, title and creaton date)

    • certificates.csv (spreadsheet with overview of all certificates including version number for how many changes there were to any of your certificates)

    • files (all your images and digital archives)

    • index.html (open the index to run the offline view in your browser)

    • part.js (used to enable offline index)

    • PDFs (all your archives for each certificates including full description and history).

    • README.txt (additional technical instructions regarding the zip file)

    • each one where it is.

  3. Open index.html. to browse your achive offline.

To open your export for larger accounts with multiple files:

  1. Larger accounts get several files, split by date (for example "2019–2020" or "March 2022"), plus an Index file.

  2. Download all your zip files which will be labelled verisart-export-date

  3. The files must remain within their same parent folder eg. 'Downloads'. If moving one unzipped folder, make sure you move the others to the same parent folder.

  4. Open index.html from the Index folder to browse all your works from the multiple folders.

Your download links work for 30 days. While they do, you can also download your export from Settings → Account.

Browse your archive offline

The index page opens in your web browser and works without an internet connection.

  • Search by title, artist or sticker serial.

  • Editions are grouped, so you can see every print of a work together.

  • Open any work's PDF or its folder of files.

  • Select works and print their PDFs together.

If your export has several files and some aren't unzipped next to the index yet, the index tells you which ones are missing.

Good to know

  • One export every five days. You can request a new export five days after your last one. Contact support if you you need another within that timeframe.

  • Large accounts take longer. An account with tens of thousands of works can take a few hours and produce many gigabytes of files. Make sure you have enough space on your computer.

  • Links expire after 30 days.

Questions & Troubleshooting

Why are there several files? Large archives are split by date so each file is a manageable size. If a download is interrupted, you only need to download that one file again.

The index says some files are missing. Unzip every file into the same folder as the Index folder, then open the index again.

My download link has expired. Links last 30 days. Request a new export from Settings → Account.

I didn't get an email. Check your spam folder. Emails go to your account's login email address. If your export is still in progress after 24 hours, contact us and we'll look into it.
