How to add a creator I represent
Updated over 2 weeks ago

Adding a creator you represent is only available on our Pro plan

When you add a creator you represent, you will need to request their authorization before you can create certificates of authenticity on their behalf.

Why do I need to ask for authorization?

At Verisart we believe it’s vital to protect creators and their identity. We only allow verified creators and authorized third parties to create Certificates of Authenticity. By asking the creator, we're making sure they agree and know who is creating their certificates.

You will only need to request authorization once for each creator. Once authorization is granted each certificate will include the creator's digital signature.

Go to Creators

  • Log into your account

  • Click the top right icon and navigate to your 'Settings'

  • In your Settings panel, go to 'Authorizations'

  • Click 'Add Creator'

  • Under your 'Manage creators' you can find all the creators who have already requested authorization and the status of the request

Verify your business (for new accounts only)

Skip straight to step 3 if you already have a verified business account

  • If this is the first time you're adding a creator, you'll need to verify your identity and your business

    • An owner or senior manager should complete identity verification

    • We'll review the details you submit and approve your account

    • This process normally takes a few hours, but may take up to 2 business days during busy times

  • Once you've completed this process, you won't be asked again

  • Even if your details need to be reviewed, you can still add creators and request authorizations

    • We'll send out the authorization requests automatically when you're account is approved

Add a new creator

  • Open the 'Creator' panel

  • Start by searching for the creator you want to represent

  • If you can't find them select 'Add New'

  • Add the creator's signature (optional)

    • If you provide a signature, the creator will be asked to review it and they may choose to replace it

    • If you don't provide a signature, the creator will be asked to provide one

Request authorization

  • Enter the creator's email address to send them an authorization request

  • If you add a phone number, they will receive a text message about the request

  • You can add an optional note that the creator will see with the request

  • The creator will receive an email asking them to review your request. Learn more about how this looks from the creator's side.

Remind the creator to approve your request

  • Once the request has been sent, you'll need to wait for the creator to approve it

  • You can view pending requests in the "Creators" tab

  • Click "Resend" to resend the authorization request to the creator

Keep track of creators you represent

The Creators tab shows you an overview of the creators you represent.
