How do customers purchase NFTs?
Updated this week

Buying NFTs on desktop

Customer buys NFT

Customer completes purchase through standard checkout process using one of your payment providers.

Customer gets NFT claim email

Customer receives an email with details on how to claim their NFT.

Goes to NFT dashboard

Customer accesses the NFT dashboard located on your store via the magic link in the email.

  • If link has expired, customers are asked to verify their email address.

  • Customers can view and manage their NFT collection from their account on your store by clicking 'Manage your NFTs' button

Customer claims NFT

  • Customer clicks on 'Claim' button

  • Connect their wallet or can create a wallet

  • NFT is minted from the merchant storage wallet to the customer’s wallet (the merchant pays the minting and transfer fees)

View NFTs in dashboard

After customer claims, they are directed to the dashboard to view their NFTs.

In the NFT cards, customers can go to:

  • OpenSea

  • Verisart

  • Etherscan/Polygonscan

After transferring the NFT to their own wallet, customers can also sign up to a free Verisart account and list NFTs for sale on OpenSea or Rarible.

Claiming on mobile

Note: If you're claiming on an Android device, we recommend using Wallet Connect or Coinbase Wallet. MetaMask wallet does not work well on Android.

Install MetaMask Browser

Set up MetaMask app

Follow the set up flow in MetaMask to set up a new wallet or import an existing one

Return to NFT dashboard

Once MetaMask App is installed with an active wallet, return to the NFT Dashboard by clicking the link in the claim email or going to the My Account section of the website

Connect wallet

If a wallet is already connected, the last step won't be shown.

Claim NFT

  • Tap the claim button

  • It will update to “claimed” once the transaction is complete

View NFTs in MetaMask App

MetaMask doesn’t show NFTs on the desktop, but the mobile app displays them.

Click the NFT tab in the wallet app and follow instructions to update the settings to auto-detect the NFT.
